"There is a silent magic that only lights up when the world is covered in white."

 This work is a dive into Nordic folklore, revisited through the sensitivity of my Soul Art.
 This little gnome is the "Guardian of the Light," the one who walks through the cold of winter carrying a lantern, a symbol of hope and guidance in times of darkness.
 The watercolor technique is here taken to its maximum evocative power.
 I used an almost monochromatic palette of cobalt blue and powder blue, letting the white of the 100% cotton paper itself become snow and light.
 The fluffy beard, high-pointed hat, and golden lantern create a warm focal point in a cold environment, conveying a sense of protection and peace.
 The granular textures and white splashes around the figure are not only decorative, but represent the very breath of winter.
