"A flash of cobalt that splits the silence of the water."
In this watercolor, I wanted to capture the paradox of the Kingfisher: the extreme immobility of waiting combined with the lightning speed of action.
It is a small jewel of nature that lives in a perfect balance between patience and precision.
The choice of vibrant blue for the plumage is not accidental: it represents the pure energy that contrasts with the warm, earthy tones of the base.
I used large washes of water to create an ethereal, almost suspended atmosphere, where the bird's contours blend with the surrounding environment.
The splashes of white and blue paint surrounding the subject are not simple stains, but the visual transposition of movement, of rippling water and pulsating life.
It is a work that speaks of determination and grace, perfect for those seeking a symbol of focus and essential beauty.
